Co-Founder and CEO

Kim Michelson

Kim Michelson is the Co-Founder and CEO of Honest Game, the leading academic eligibility and compliance platform for college athletics. Since founding the company in 2019, she has grown Honest Game into a national education technology company serving hundreds of high schools, four-year colleges, and powering the NJCAA Eligibility Clearinghouse and Audit Guarantee for two-year colleges nationwide.

Kim’s belief in the power of sport to unlock life opportunities began in 1987 when, because there was no girls’ varsity basketball team at her high school, she became the first female student-athlete in California to compete on male varsity basketball and baseball teams. The doors opened through Title IX changed the trajectory of her own life and inspired a lifelong commitment to helping young people use sport as a catalyst for opportunity, education, and upward mobility.

Prior to founding Honest Game, Kim held leadership roles with PepsiCo, Shell Oil Company, and Beyond Sports Foundation. She holds college degrees from the University of Missouri-Columbia and Georgetown University and serves on the Advisory Council of Loyola University Chicago’s Baumhart Center for Social Enterprise and Responsible Leadership.
